From a reference to another
Thanks a lot for information you posted and for invaluable help it provides.
I will try to replace the current crystal by an internal bezel that comes from a ref 176.007 + any crystal that would fit, to see if they are interchangeable, and I'll let you know.
It remains that we do not know why Omega replaced by 176.001 by 176.007 in 1972 (after only one year of production), if the cases / dials / movements are similar. What could have gone through their minds ? Any clue on this ?

the only thing i would disagree with Nilo on is the outer bezel. i dont think your watch has anything missing, i just dont think it had any inner/outer bezel of any sort unlike the square ish model which has an inner tachymetre bezel. my reasons for think...

the watch looks fantastic, and I think that an internal tachy dial never existed on YOUR watch, as there's no room from the photos (i.e. nothing missing). I love the nice little 24 hr indicator on the 9 o'clock dial, very nice touch. superb watch. Tony
