Dark and moody. And the strap adds to the mystery! What is the strap? The uneven texture gives it a moody look that perfectly compliments the dial of this timepiece.

It was a reclamation project from the get-go . . .
. . . acquired with an incorrect sweep seconds hand and crown. I found a clover crown from an Omega parts supplier and harvested a correct seconds hand from a donor movement/dial obtained on eBay, restoring it to its former glory. The cal 500 movement run...

Both examples I photographed at the OC boutique last month . . .
. . . have been sold. The only UD shipped to the LA boutique was purchased by my cousin. And they held it for a few days as a courtesy to me so that he could arrange a day to see it in person. They're flying off the shelves, apparently.
