. . . of your canny decision to focus on the patches in some of the photos instead of the watches . . . I, for one, felt no small measure of pride in seeing them. I clearly remember that summer night in '69 when Apollo XI was returning . . . the American community in Iran, where my Dad was working, threw a party and we all took turns with binoculars and telescopes searching the night sky for our compatriots. The resident British, Canadians, Australians, South Africans, Dutch, and a few locals were at the party, and I don't think I've ever felt the comradeship of the international community as warmly as on that occasion.
