The history and the beautiful details are in my opinion exceptional. You can see why Omega has such a rich history of precision timekeeping.

but a bit cruel -- they know some us want to see the movement!

And yes, they most certainly would! That at least is one area, where chronographs might still have a use. In theory 😉 But we will continue enjoying them irrespective 😁👍🏻

. . . Langes. My recollection is that when Omega released a limited number for sale in '08 their asking price was over that of the central tourbillon. I could be wrong about that, but not by much. Art ...  

Lange used also a hair spring coil in theire 1815 rattrapante serious, which is not allowed to use under The Geneva Seal. 🤔

Purist, people with knowledge, kniow this.
