a time factor and in spite of him explaining that I still don't feel comfortable doing it excessively. Also both my Hour Vision and AT had to be sent in for replacement of some related parts close to simultaneously!

Nice looking De Ville! I have two modern Omegas (De Ville Hour Vision and an Aqua Terra) which don't have quick set dates. Instead they have a jump hour feature, handy for crossing time
zones but tedious for setting the date. I also wonder if jumping frequently or excessively could be bad for the movement. This encourages me to wear something else anytime the date needs to be advanced more than a couple of days.

I have a couple of those jump hour setting, with the heavy clicks, I am afraid the gears may skip or wear out😅. Actually most of the time I dont bother to set the date on my watches😂
