hello everyone. Here I have a piece I found in my loft when clearing through family items. Not a great deal of info other than its old. I'm lead to believe it may be around 1950s Any info on the model it may be roughly and age would be great and also anyw...  

My guess would be early 1950s for the watch, but a bit later for the bracelet. Best way to identify the watch is to open and check reference number and movement number. Do the watch run smooth and keep good time? Then I would wait with service... If not, ... 

I agree with blomman no need to service if the watch is keeping reasonable time. Bill Ps with the movement serial number omega archives can tell you the watch origins.

. . . right off the top of my head, it looks like a ref 2609 with a refinished dial. Can you remove the back and provide images of the movement and inner caseback? Cordially, Art

i want to remove the back but i am not sure how to and i don't want to damage it. is it very difficult?

if you could recommend which type of tool i may need i can get one and see. thanks

. . . you'd be better off going to any jewelery repair shop to have them handle the task with camera in hand. They might charge a small fee, but it'll be worthwhile if it prevents unnecessary scratches. Art
