I have copied your storry into my "archive card". It is funny how history can suddenly come close when you collect Vintage watches.

I have collected Vintage Omegas for some years. From the beginning all Vintage Omegas, but later I am more and more focussed on also haveing the right box.... and if possible also some papers. This one nice piece with some paperwork. [IMG]http://i11.photo...

On the lid of the box, 'ten Boom', and was reminded of Corrie ten Boom, who was a Nazi concentration camp survivor (her book, 'The Hiding Place' was made into a major movie many years ago) and that her family owned a clock and watch shop in Holland which ...

. . . and even more remarkable that you were able to make the connection. I didn't notice the name of the retailer at first glance, and not sure that I would've made the correlation, even though I'm vaguely familiar with the story.

In that order I prefer as you to have the complete package. For some watches it is however very very difficult. So sometimes I settle for less :-) Best Hans
