I understand, but unless you have the original paperwork or you are willing to spend the 70 CHF for the omega database certificate  you will never know if that movement was original to the watch. Even if the first two digits match the supposed year of production.

Also from what I´ve seen a 2 millon difference would be possible depending on the watch and model, dating the watch by a serial number is always an educated guess never an exact science...Now that we know the watch is not the one from Jacksonville it would be great to know the serial number on the piece in question, I opened mine and it has a 28,299,xxx serial number and caseback says it is a 67 model. Now I´m within doubt myself!
