This dial is one of the nicest I have ever seen. I think the re-edition in 1994 was modelled on that one, right? Is it all original? What a beauty - dream watch! Congrats

...and it has to be said that there is no better comparison between the two than on SteveG's watch launchpad site. This example was the property of a fastidious Purist, and it was a privilege to become its next custodian. Cheers, pplater.

lucky you!

as I said, for me - maybe the 'perfect dial' (if there is one). And I am normally quite purist, like very clean dials. But the balance of cross-hair, segment, out rail track, roman numerals alternating with these golden dots, the shape of the hands, the s...

you write " the applied roman numerals inside the 2 tone silver/gold circles. they do not stick outside these circles" It is quite the contrary on original dials! The dial looks good to me as far as this small picture does allow me to judge... I would lik...

just had a look at my 2 examples.....yes, the shiny silver area is smaller in diameter and the roman numerals protrude. i should think before i write and read before i post. my thoughts were with the arab numerals dial variant. it`s different there. kind ...

Disagree

I disagree on 2 points >> the original dial has the applied roman numerals inside the 2 tone silver/gold circles As Erich said, it is even the opposite for many original dials. The applied roman numerals go far over both circles. >> both dials...

Amazing
