..this piece means to me as case study...
..the markings and the brand seemed to be printed (thin), not inked as in most re-done ones, so i guess i'll settle this one as a genuine, plus the type of hands seemingly supportive to that objective. In fact, everything that it is seems so right in place. But still ODD.
..as for commissioning concerns, let's just conclude as an ordinary military watch - back then.. in the 60s and 70s, Omega is just too big a branded establishment (bigger than Rolex) and it seems anything goes for the Omega brand. DIvers and pilots and so on, etc. An amateur's opinion, btw.
..got it laying around in a shop for a couple of hundreds, shop owner says been laying in some drawer for as long as he can remember. He's owned the darn shop for 2 decades.
..still i consider it an interesting look on a piece of history's twist ..or swapped - just as Graham mentioned.
