What next?
Good evening everyone,
I am building a small collection of watches and currently within this have a PAM562 which I absolutely love. I now want to add a further Panerai, but would like it be a radiomir this time.
My attraction to Panerai is around the original DNA of the brand and usually attracted to simple dials…….. any thoughts on what would be a good addition?

For a good collection, IMHO, best to collect iconic or reference watches
Before going to build something else bigger. My list would include broadly split into two categories.... Gentleman and Sports Lange One Lange Datograph Patek Calatrava Patek Annual Calender Omega Speedmaster Rolex Daytona Rolex Submariner AP Royal Oak IWC...
If you love simple dial I would recommend the PAM514, a very nice everyday piece with a mesmerising sandwich dial. It is 47 mm so it is definitely big but I have to admit that it fits pretty well in everyday life also under the shirt.
Whereas of you want something very historical I would suggest a true classic: the California, also 47 mm. Best

The 449. The wire lugs and the minimalist dial take the cake, in my opinion. It's very elegant and restrained too, for a Panerai. I think this is because of the blues hands. The wire lug Radiomir wears beautifully for me too. ...
Apart from the usual suspects:......
232, 249, 448, 449 all of which are 47mm Radiomirs, my choice would lean towards the PAM210. It has few advantages over the bigger models. It's a 45mm (no monster to be strapped to the wrist unless YOU choose it). It has a quintessential 3-6-9-12 Panerai ...
When I bought my 232, I didn't even know the 210..existed.
But then, I've never had an issue with the dimentions of Panerai watches. For those who have though (and there are a fair few out there) the 210 offers an acceptable alternative.
