Let's say that if you have to pay somehting like 10/15 K Euros more than the Retail for a SS version, it may be ok...
But 27 K Euros more...

249 is around $7800 262 is around $42,250, although I'm not sure if the recent price increases may have increased the price.
The 2007 price list shows.....
the 249 at 7,000 USD, so your 7,800 USD may be inclusive of any price rise for 2008. The 2007 list shows the 262 at the price you stated. The price of the 249 on the 2006 price list was 5,800 USD. The 262 does not appear on that list. Simon
Price increase
I think that $7800 for the 249 includes the price increase but the price on the 262 may not. I tried for a little while to locate a 249 but without any luck. I've given up. The 262 is probably not as hot given the already high price.
Honestly, I don't see the interest of the 262
The only differences are the brown dial ( beautiful) and the platinum case...But 35 000 USD for that, NO WAY! If would obviously be different, and hence much more interesting, if Panerai gave to the 262 a Rolex Cortebert movement. The 249is IMHO much bett...
