It can be tough for someone so used to seeing the original models to accept changes. It is perfectly understandable. However, it doesn't mean the brand cannot mature out of a limited area.
Evolution, improvement and differenciation is not so bad a thing, IMHO of course. But I really don't see why this one is not a watch with Panerai's style and DNA.
This
being said, it doesn't mean it is not a nice watch as, in the mean
time, for newer owners in the Panerai world coming with a blank page it
is natural to be more opene to these novetlies. And even sometimes
finding them better.
The newer references (with more element on
the dial sometimes and different calibers) still have the brand's DNA
(I don't think this could be denied).
It would be sad if the Panerai remained only available in the original layout and not more. Just my opinion of course.
By the way, if there wasn't a developement of the models, maybe Panerai would not be existing anymore...
Everyone will recognize a Panerai in a heart beat: the case, the crownguard, numerals etc...
Still a true Panerai but I understand it won't satisfy the elder fans of the brand: there is room for both imho
Cheers Sergio, Mark
