When you think of Panerai you are
Dec 16, 2009,02:38 AM
thinking of entering in the world of pain :0)))
nevertheless you are entering also in a world full of joy
they are so "similar" jet so different
and this is charm, beauty and mystery of Panerai.
For the beginning in my opinion
you should think of
PAM 000 if you like Luminor line
or
PAM 210 or 232 (harder to get) if you like Radiomir line
but you should also consider PAM 112 & PAM 005 or PAM 183
not talking pre Vendome or Vintage here because you'll get there one
day and realize that all you have and wished before is just .... gone
as far as your replica piece is in question
first of all this was just most hideous fake I ever saw thank you for that :0)))
closest but this is impossible in this case would be 113 or 114 from contemporary line
All the best

How much are you willing to spend. Do you like the Luminor or the Radiomir? I would suggest the PAM312. Its got an inhouse movement, date and seconds complications only. 1950s style case. Slightly domed. sandwich dial. reasonably priced (around $7~8K).
