Panerai PAM 249 Radiomir " Cali ".
In my huge Panerai collection, there were three watches I wanted to keep: This " Cali ", the Pre Vendome Logo and Mare Nostrum.
They were all gone the same day, alas.
Here are two photos of the Cali. One taken by myself ( The Cali is one of the toughest watch to take in picture, by the way )
And this one, to be credited to Bukowski.
Highly regretted...
A last anecdote; Mine was Number 249, matching with the Ref number.

Of mind I like the 372, Of the wrist, I like the 44mm luminor case, but couldn't find a persuasive dial design in that size / case-shape.
So I did go to the boutique and tried the new 5218
But didn't like it! (Maybe I was just in a nasty mood that day & week.) Nothing wrong with the watch - except that it is very new - but I did not feel involved with it. Rgds chk ...

The 249 wears lighter and smaller than other 47mm Panerais. Exudes old school charm with its mechanical movement, along with whimsy with the Cali dial.
