PAM123......
...the watch that I've always considered the ugliest one, EVER produced, held a huge surprise for me. A revenge surprise, of sorts. I've been to only 1 SIHH, in Geneva. I'm not a "social" person and I accepted the invitation only for sheer curiosity and because I wanted the chance to see the 605FIRENZE. So I make it to Geneva, I get into the exibit's area and finally to the Panerai stand. The first showcase to my right, contained a 6154, the third one to my right contained a GPF 2/56 and dead smack in the middle of them, inside the 2nd showcase there was a 123. I almost fainted. They had to give me some smelling salts to revive me.

Dear Sergio, I had a good laugh reading your post. There was a time when Panerai tried very hard to prove they could do everything… Power reserve. GMT. Date. Cyclops. Chronograph. Text. More text. I believe I might have some strong contenders for the comp...

Compared to the 125, the 090 is … a small! … (a very small!!!) beauty. 😎 And I hope that comforts you a little…? P.S.: The 125 was MY first Panerai… I was so proud of it. I sold it a few years later. Even today, I still get chills down my spine and shiver...
