OK...so what i have learnt here is....
1) The world is full of fakes (in all senses of that)
2) That the real Panerai "brotherhood" is a close-nit group
3) That actually, it seems that the watch picks the buyer
4) That the seller should not have horns and a tail
I have a good story to share about Panerai and this journey, but it will be best served after the weekend. Some fairly freaky serendipity. But one for Monday....possibly!

if you want to buy only 1 Panerai, buy either a 40 or a 42mm model. If you buy 44/47, the other watches in your collection are doomed (unless you have the right sized Rolexes or IWCs)........ Cheers

There are no worries when purchasing a Vintage or a Pre-Vendome piece. First, patience is a MUST Second, the source is the beginning and a security Third, share with renowned enthusiasts and value their opinions Four, ownership procures endless pleasures....
