New PAM339 Combo courtesy of a fellow Purist!

When I saw Drew's "aboen" post on PuristS of his base with the awesome homemade strap last month, I instantly thought that this strap would look awesome with my 339 with the strap's brownish-olive-black tones.

I PM'd Drew and asked if he would be interested in making a fellow Purists a strap from his awesome hide.  Drew agreed and he refuses to take any payment for it.  WHAT A GUY!  and the true risti spirit!

I found out more about the leather...(from our PM):

 Hi Phil,

The leather I use is a horween chromexcel that I distressed myself. Its color is like super dark olive or black-brownish-greenish color, don’t really know what to call it but it’s really cool color though. I have some this leather to make about two or three straps left, I can make you one in my spare time for sure.

 Anyhow, after a couple of weeks, the Drew emailed and shipped the strap.  I will let the photos do the talking for Drew's great talents as a strap maker  (and really, these phone shots do not do the strap justice):

Received the strap on a glorious Saturday here in SoCal

I tore into the package like a kid in a candy store..wow..I was impressed..

First impressions, the leather is soft and buttery and quality is superb!  (and Drew claims to be an amateur...NOT)  Stitching is nice and neat!

Quick strap change later:

I have been hunting a nice calf strap for the 339 and being a dark brown shade, the watch has been difficult to find the right combo.  I think I found it with Drew's awesome work!  The strap takes on different colors in different lighting.  I love it!

Thank you Drew!  True Risti sprit at work!  And might I add that you have a great career as a strap maker!
