Matter of fact....
the 292 has been a great success for Panerai, culminating with the 292J "pig" that went out of the doors in...nano seconds. I'm not sure a 47mm model, would have been that successful. 2mm, in normal life seem a pretty small difference but, on a wrist makes all the difference in the world. People, at the time, were still trying to reconcile themselves with 44-45mm, when everything around was in the 36-38mm range. IMO of course

a very clean watch to me, could have been 1 or 2 mm bigger imo.. ...

Indeed a beautiful piece, the Panerai that I (by far) wear the most when I'm in Italy!

The 'pig' series was really nice!
To me 45mm is already the max. I would actually like it to be smaller. Thankfully, the black ceramic case makes it feel smaller aesthetically

I've always been attracted to the radiomir case. And I want to own one with a Unitas movement. Within current production, The 380 seems to satisfy what I want. The only thing is the 45mm, which took me some time to get over. I finally can convince myself ...

But somehow I have this thing for ugly pieces. It's strangely quirky and nice in its own way. Stays in my mind somehow. Personally I like the balance on the pam380 albeit the logo makes it a bit messy

if you buy the 380 and find out you like it...a lot...maybe (just maybe) I'll try and "flog" the 123 on you. After all, people with the "taste for the horrific" are not that common LOLLLLLL

to put it with another 9 "lefties" and form somewhat of a half baked collection. If it were not for that, I wouldn't have bought it at...gunpoint hahahahahahahaha
