I recently rejoined the Paneristi
A couple years ago I purchased a PAM 219. I really loved the watch, except when it was on my wrist. It was just too big for my tastes so it left my collection. When Panerai introduced the 337 a couple years ago it caught my eye. It featured the two-layer dial that I have always liked and at 42mm it was right in the size range that I like. During the Purists/Panerai dinner in Beverly Hills back in June I was informed that it was being discontinued. The next day I stopped by the boutique planning on putting a deposit on one but luckily for me they had a 337 in stock. What a great watch! The more I wear it the more I like it. The only thing I can't figure out is why I waited so long to buy one!

A decentyl sized case with some horolgical content ( Piaget movement ) and a clean dial. Maybe one fo the best offer for those who don't want to build an hard core collection of Panerai watches. Bravo! Best, Nicolas

I have always liked Panerai's DNA. The two layer dials, crown protectors (on Luminors) and shape (on Radiomirs), and the general case styles. I just didn't feel the large sizes worked well on my wrist. As a result I will never be a serious Panerai collect...

I'm not sure that I'm going to get used to the larger offerings from Panerai. I did previously own a 219 Destro and found it to be just too big for me. Now if my wrist size were to somehow increase that might change, but I don't think that is likely! I'm ...
Matter of fact....
I've always thought that Panerai should also elicit an...attitude....that goes beyond wrist or watch dimensions. With this, I'm not suggesting you'll go after an Egiziano Grosso anytime in the future but, a 44mm vs a 42mm, could come down to...brawn+attit...

Thanks. As for the new ride, Hell Yes! I still absolutely love it. What a magnificent machine. I still chuckle a bit every time I press the start button and hear/feel the engine roar to life. The only problem with the CL is that is is causing me to ignore...
I think its time for a name change..
maybe AMGMark? lol! just summer duties with kiddies here..will need another event for me to crawl out of suburbia hell and make it into the City...LOL take care!

Since I had a Panerai before I still had a couple of straps and buckles floating around. I did have the brown strap in the pictures custom made for the 337 though. I felt that some of the straps I had were a bit too thick for the new watch. The new strap ...

a good return to the PAM fold
congrats on your acquisition. every collection needs a PAM to count itself complete. why not something from its Luminor range, then a Radiomir? I am more a Radiomir guy myself too. Best, Horo

Looks like the pattern for me is Luminor (no longer in the collection), Radiomir (unlikely to ever leave the collection), and now new Luminor. I'll post more soon.
