I need help!!!

May 08, 2018,13:08 PM

Good evening,

I’m assisting my client who inherited his grandfather’s unworn full kit Panerai 5218-202/A. His grandfather received it as a service award after 40 years of service, but never wore it.

At this point I want to get more information regarding selling it outright or possibly putting it up for auction, depending on what my client decides to do.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Pieter

Vintage apart, is there a better " Base " than this one? Credit picture unknown or better said, forgotten since I have it in my hard disc since my Paneristi years ( 15 years ago )... Unless you prefer the non matching version? Best, Nicolas ...

would dare "touch" the 5218-202A...BUT I have a confession to make: I prefer the 9Pre-A. I know that the 202A is a Mamma Mia..BUT given the same dial (Pre-A have Pre-V dials) the simplicity of a 9 is matched only by the 2 IMO of course

no questions about it and, like every other Panerai's nut, I find it irresistible. The Mamma Mia makes it even more desirable BUT esthetically I prefer the 9Pre-A. Less is more, remember? :P

Good morning Sergio. I want to know how collectible this model is in Europe and the US. If it is highly desirable, it might benefit my client to put it on auction or find a buyer abroad. We have a relatively small watch collecting community in South Afric...

the 5218-202A Marina Militare is one of the historical models of Panerai. It was produced in the years 1993-1997, before the sale of the Panerai's watch division to the Vendome Group in 1997. Only 140 pieces were produced and this alone makes it a collect...
