I live in Chicago. Arrived in Tokyo last night.! Saw w&w release online and just went to Ginza boutique next to where I am staying. They had 3 pieces of this in stock and I picked up one!
I bought my first PAM in 2001. For some years after, I would order new SIHH releases the second they dropped.
On average, the wait was probably 8-12 months. You got this the day it was released? WOW! It is a whole new Panerai!! And congratulations, this and the 1732 have both caught my eyes.

That model interests me too--I've always loved the 372 and kin but 47mm just isn't working, so this model is right up my alley. Maybe I'll poke my head in the Boston boutique tomorrow, see what they've got!
