I currently have a Rolex Submariner that I love and I feel like is classic. I will keep it forever. I am in the market to buy my first Panerai. I would like to buy something as classic and sporty as the Submariner. The one watch that really catches my eye...

Guys Thanks so much for the input, I am taking it all in and figuring out a decision. It is really not easy. I was actually looking at something in between the busy dial of the GMT and the sparseness of the basic ones. The one I am now also considering is...

It's 44mm and automatic. What this one has that the others don't is the in-house P.900x movement. I believe full retail pricing on the PAM312 is somewhere around $7.5k - 8k. Best to call your local AD to find pricing. Cheers, Anthony This message has been... 

My first one was a 161 GMT which I bought back in late 2008. I have bought 3 more Panerais since.

You may have a little wait but the PAM 000 is a great watch to start your Panerai love affair. As all the addicts in this forum will attest buying a Panerai is buying into the lifestyle and it never stops with the first purchase....
