And you are right! Panaris were always big watches, and they have been worn above the diving suite... ;-)
I like the big Panerais in 47mm and even bigger (in a visual sense), but I find it a bit Clown-like, if I see some of them at relatively small wrists...
As I said, all a matter of proportion. That's why I like the 42mm cases... I would also buy the 690 in 42mm and also the 688 (without GMT) .
But I know, that's not a real Panerai, because Panerais had never blue dials... ;-)

There is no..big..Panerai.
personal taste is personal taste and, as such, cannot be criticized. But Panerai was BORN as a large sized timepiece and that also, cannot be re-written. If one has a small wrist, in my opinion, shouldn't even look at a Panerai. Having said that, you like...
