I think that it is not without good reasons that several makers have finished the production of carbon fiber cases like AP.

It is said that despite of the scratch resistance the case‘s edges will abrade with time. Not so with ceramic - so you made a better choice smile Panerai, Breitling and many more experimented for years to find alternate case materials but after one or two „Special Editions“ they always return to the classic five: steel, titanium, ceramic, gold and platinum. There must be a reason for it...

The black knight 317... not the “k” with PVD movement but a later version with smoky glass ...

Yes one of the subset of 44mm domed sapphire!

Thanks Patrick! The white green lume is also nice vs. fautina lume with ceramic

I feel like it is a fun travel watch/ airplane/ car since it is ceramic so I can move luggage around and not worry about it.

Oh! Be careful! Ceramic still scratches!

I have the scars on my ceramic watch unfortunately!

Oh really!? The only marks I tend to get is the other material leaving residue on the ceramic!

Usually rubbed off.. but we know not invincible (ie don’t drop your watch on a tile floor) 😂... i still do baby the watch and would not necessarily go mountain biking with this watch on. Just not afraid to stick my hand between two luggage, etc. haha ...

I don't know where I got my watch's scratches...

But I'm always careful sticking my arm anywhere. Apparently door frames and elevator doors are a common place where people scratch their watches and break watch crystals!

My fav Pam, the shark tooth is the best on these

I remember when I first saw and tried on this watch in Maui in 2008. Was in love then and now !

Very nice!

Love everything about it. Manual wind, technical, fun, and badass in ceramic before ceramic was badass! Congrats!

For me...

One of the true classics of Panerai.

The myriad of new references that were presented in the last years cannot keep up with this one.

Thanks JKVS! It is really a fun piece with it’s all black look and ceramic material

And since it’s black it match with a nice ammo, OEM camp rubber, and of course black rubber or calf I haven’t had any experience with carbon fiber which should be better with respect to durability but haven’t seen them in the flesh

I think that it is not without good reasons that several makers have finished the production of carbon fiber cases like AP.
