Recommendations for Montblanc travel watch?
One attraction I have for Montblanc timepieces is the magnificent mountain from which they draw their name and, I hope, their inspiration. Beautiful and majestic yes, but also solid, rugged, and even a bit dangerous...
We're heading for Bhutan, the real Shangi-la, in a few months and I would love to take a Montblanc watch on the infamous Snowman Trek; three weeks of remote wilderness hiking with nine passes over 4500m! National Geographic did a nice write-up about the adventure here: http://www.nationalgeographic.com/adventure/adventure-travel/asia/bhutan-kira-salak.html
Automatic or manual, date, 2nd timezone, decent water-resistance, good lume, steel construction...this is my short list of requirements although none are set in stone. Oh, and not too large, say perhaps max. 44mm, otherwise I'd have to wear it on the outside of my jacket like a WWII navigator's piece ;-) Any suggestions?
