Nd recalls some of the early online forum controversy surrounding Minerva. The finishing changed under Gnutti but it also seems to have finished him 😊🤷🏻‍♂️

I believe Gnutti had financial issues and some investigations going on with his business empire. The Gnutti period pieces are lovely but some of the case sizes were quite big for my wrist. 🤝

Might have been a sign of the times but I agree - not helpful 🤷🏻‍♂️

Perhaps it was also that they had one foot still relying on the Frey calibre sizes while the other was on the advanced finishing, dials, cases and retooling. So the size of case to movements were sometimes a bit disproportionate. Nonetheless, Gnutti perio... 

Chopard apparently also took a look for the chronograph knowhow but finally decided to do it in house instead…

That was a great time of horology. I still love my 38mm Pythagore. It’s hard to find something as appealing today.
