In general I like Montblanc and their recent approach to horology. They make serious attempts to improve their standard, and I salute them for that.
The watch you present here consists of many elements I find very attractive and others which give me slight reservations. I like the case: the bezel, the crown, the lugs, the back and the buckle. I also find the guilloche attractive, although I am not a big guilloche fan. I also like the shape of the hands - would have preferred the h/m hand without luminosity, though. The applied Roman numerals are okay, although I find the stilistic deviating V and X a bit mannered. The applied markers are beautiful, but too long. IMO they should been held within the grid of the numerals, not overstepping their circles, thus disturbing the harmony. The date window, though, calls for my criticism. Three dates in a window isn't unusual, but nevertheless superfluous, especially when it calls for a big red pointing triangle, which does nothing good for this otherwise elegant watch. Likewise the use of colour red. A regrettable decision, IMO, but admittedly solely a matter of taste. The general impression of the watch is very good.
