Thank you for another amazing post
I want to love this watch but... It reminds me soooo much of the GP perpetual, which I don't love... Everything too far in th center of the dial feels 'wrong'. The movement is just... Shockingly plain looking for this type of watch. I use the word shocking because I am genuinely shocked that MB would not do something more with it.
The JLC perpetual lacks much in the visual impact of its movement but it has a straight forward pure look, at least. ( frankly, I feel the Jlc is not up to par either, on such a watch, but it still succeeds) but this movement is so very plain... Why? In this type of watch?
I think I'm only compelled to comment at all because the Heritage Chrono is such a serious watch, phenomenal movement, etc. this one doesn't seem to stand beside its brother. Perhaps a price market position consideration, but that always bugs me too. Don't let a compromise actually look like a compromise.
With all that off my chest... I have to point out, this is a classically beautiful watch that I would still take great pleasure in wearing and I know it is a totally different experience to wear and own and appreciate daily.
It seems to be quite a challenge to get a perpetual just right.
