Maybe this is a reason to visit Montblanc as a group ......PuristS on Tour?

It's something to bear in mind.

Thank you for part 2 of the Twin Peaks of Montblanc manufactures.

Continuing from Part One on the Montblanc Villeret manufacture, this Part Two will focus more on the Artisanal aspects of the manufacture, where Montblanc is determined to safeguard the most traditional methods and know-hows of fine watch making. This inc...

You are much nearer to Villeret than I am :)

Montblanc would be a good candidate for a future PURISTS On Tour visit!

How can Montblanc not be recognized as a watch manufacture?

 By: Luis6 : April 24th, 2015-18:52
Great read; fantastic report! It clearly shows how serious Montblanc is about watchmaking, and how much effort they put into it. By the way, is there the slimmest opportunity of the "Purists Edition Montblanc watch project", just like the chopard one?

Hi Luis Thanks for your comments. Indeed Montblanc has firmly established itself as a true manufacture. I am glad you echoed the same thoughts. :) There is one PuristSPro LE watch with Montblanc. It is a beautiful Vintage Chronograph LE 10 pieces with a w...

Thanks a lot, Robin. I did not realize the existence of this piece.

 By: Luis6 : April 24th, 2015-20:14
It was released before I joined PPro.

That one made me change my mind about Montblanc and watches.

 By: amanico : April 24th, 2015-22:09
It is just exquisite! Best, Nicolas

Oh yes Nico

Montblanc Villeret chronographs...

...with Minerva movements are the finest artisanal chronographs on the market today. The "mass produced" (a relative term of course) "high end" manual chronos such as Dato or 5170 do not come close in terms of craft or hand finish, IMHO.

I agree with you I have a Montblanc Villeret grand feu enamel with the Minerva calibre 13.21 and also a Datograph and I have compared them many times side by side (one of my favorite enjoyment when I have the time ) The Dato looks nicer on first glance du...

Interesting analogy, Robin...

I'll be first to admit I am a cynic and a snob when it comes to movements and especially manual chronographs. I had a RG/black Dato some 10 years ago which I thought I'd keep forever but the fondness faded after a couple of years. It was a pretty watch an...

Good to hear your frank opinion

On the Lange Dato vs the Montblanc Villeret chronos. To be honest I haven\'t gone so deep on the dial side finishing but as my MB Villeret as a beautiful black enamel dial, it naturally attracts me more I will be traveling for work soon and now I have dec...
