Montblanc great characters homage to the great gatsby fountain pen

Nov 21, 2024,22:44 PM

Just picked this up, literally dropped off an hour ago. I have been wanting a new fountain pen even though I don’t write much 😂 I like the design and the blue and silver tones is to my aesthetic. Roaring 20s is a cool era, one may say we are in that era now again 🤷‍♂️ I got the ink and notebook as well. Will write with it later. Assume it writes like the black one.

Like you, I am a big fan of blue and silver. I look forward to seeing an ink sample when you get the chance. All the best, Jon

Thanks!

I was going to go for the more premium black and gold, but black harbors too many fingerprints!

Quick write

Nice and smooth, I like fine tip. Gatsby with gatsby green ink and platinum detailed 149 in cool grey ...

Absolutely beautiful pen, congratulations on getting it.

Excellent notebook too, and the ink. I want to try the Montblanc Irish Green ink in a couple of my pens. I to like the fine nibs, suits my writing style so much better. At some point over the winter I would lkike to read the book, The Great Gatsby.

Great catch!

“ the dazzling New York of the Gatsby era, where the sparkling Art Deco skyscrapers in the blue evening skies, inspired the design of the great characters homage to the great Gatsby special edition. Created as a nod to an early Mont Blanc writing instrume...

Hard to say firmly

I can get it to rest like that though by using the loop in the clip to sorta cradle the barrel of the pen.
