Montblanc Collection Villeret 1858
Feb 09, 2014,06:49 AM
Finally, we consider the topmost collection of Montblanc - Villeret 1858. Some have declared it dead after the appearance of a veritable Minerva movement in the new Heritage collection, but we have seen (more as a preview) a loud sign of new life: the Villeret Chronographe Rattrapante Tourbillon:
As mentioned, a preview only, and we were asked not to shoot the movement (that's a
real pity, trust us!). Thus, we just would tease you with some images of the dial...
Very powerful contrast in textures and heights!
Beautiful large balance wheel and spring… This is Minerva, right?
Case still the same as with the very last Minerva watches - a good move!
We have seen the movement, and really thesis breathtaking. The photo ban is of limited consequence anyway - we were shaking for what we have seen, no shake reduction system of any camera could have ameliorated our trembling knees…
What a can of worms (note these words!)!
We spare you any pro/contra list - not needed anyway!
