I wonder why they chose the number 14?

The number "14" is a combination of the "14" derived from the silver ratio (1:1.414), an ancient Japanese ratio of beauty, and the 14 lignes of the movement size.

than the original cal 48 which was 10.5 lignes 23.6 mm in diameter and 3.8 mm in height. 14 lignes=31.5812 mm a 25 % increase in diameter. The case diameter of neo vintage Pythagore most often seen is 34 mm. Compared to this new diameter the 39 mm is 14.7...

I think it's good that that are LE. I really don't went to see these made in bulk production. I think the size is 39 mmm. 38 mm would have been ok too. These watchea wear big. I wonder what the thickness is and the lug to lug. Did they make the pythagore ...
