Many Purists have this watch, that says a lot with only 200 pieces between the 2 cases.
Mine has proven to be as enjoyable as any watch I have ever owned. And that is what this passion is all about for me. It does not matter how fancy the brand name, the retail price, the case metal, etc. What matters is the enjoyment on the wrist. Some watches are great in photos, some watches people like to keep locked in a case (not me). But on the wrist... when it wows you more each time you wear it... that is true love.
I hope the piece delivers in the same ways for you. I believe it is already starting to from your comments

I definitely do know your love for this piece, and fully justified too :P The huge \'beating\' balance wheel is a joy to look at, but I agree that the clasp\' could do with some improvement. Very much looking forward to your final 2016 incoming!

Although you thinks it's great now, your love for the 1858 will grow over time. It is a superb piece, comfortable on the wrist, exceptionally legible, and a feast for the eyes. Enjoy yours as I have enjoyed mine, no. 90. M4
