42mm 19.9 was certainly massive, and nice that they had shrunk it down, but I agree that perhaps the case on this 13.21 version could have been made at 40mm to blend better. However, one could contrast this with the 5070 which, though the case:movement may seem prima facie mismatched (to the casual non-enthusiasts’ eye 😉), upon closer inspection it is quite balanced when considering the power of the movement finishings that more than compensates. The 13.21 is a magnificently designed chronograph movement that clearly demonstrates this, and I am sure that it will still look grand even in a 44mm (not that I advocate this!)!
The crown change, for me at least, aligns well with the change in times, and keeps this version grounded.
The price I agree to be very good value considering the movement end product and design (not to mention history), as well as the limited run.
