Reversos on bracelets - opinions?

Dear Reverso devotees,

I keep thinking about picking up a Reverso. (At least until we see what JLC comes up with by way of new round-cased watches next week at W&W!)

Yes, I've heard the steel case gets scratched up just by looking at it. And while I'm a fan of the guillochéd dials (and the blue duo, yummy!), I also wonder whether the patterns are stamped or cut in the traditional manner - any intelligence appreciated.

But I thought I'd ask you your opinions on the question of the bracelet.

I live in a hot and humid climate, where leather straps are a Bad Idea. So I tend to prefer watches on metal bracelets or rubber straps. But I'm not particularly attracted by the Squadra, even if the bracelet has that very nice system for micro-adjustment (a round automatic movement in a Reverso case? Sacrilege!), so I'm wondering what your collected thoughts are on the merits or otherwise of traditional Reversos on bracelets.

Best

E.

P.S. I also gather that JLC is going to start putting more automatic movements in Reversos - is this so?
