Thanks for the heads up as indeed I had a good deal with it.
Never the less the negative feeling of such a product having that bad quality of strap as well a in my eyes bad aftersales / service / coullance from a brand like Jaeger LeCoultre is something I didnt expect and keeps hanging.

The brands don't like the grey market, and JLC is not alone, in this case. After all, you went, as you said, for a big deal, which at the end was not that good. BUT any JLC AD, or Boutique, can slve your problem. They will give you a choice of straps, and...
