Yes, about 33 lunar cycles...
JLC, with the exception of the perpetual that borrows the Kurt Klaus module, uses primarily the basic 59-tooth wheel. Why? Because most people will inevitably need to reset the moonphase anyway.
If you want uber-accuracy, buy the Atmos moonphase (one day every 3,821 years!!!).

Hi All, Finally got my first JLC... MUT Moon 39. Need some advise from the experts here. I read somewhere that the lunation of most moon phase watch is out by one day every 2 years 7 months and approximately 20 days. Is that true also for the MUT Moon 39?...

Same thing on the Duometre à Q.L, by the way. So I don't see JLC using a more performant moonphase in the MUT Moon 39. But all this is very theorical. Why? Because you won't certainly continuously wear it, during these 2 years, 7 months and 20 days. ...
