Team, My quest ended. I selected the DSC (3 registers) based on those items: 1) I didn't like the "faux" vintage look of the TTDSA or the DSC (two registers). 2) The DSC (3 registers) has a modern look and a two barrel movement that seems to be very nice....
But living here, I'm scared even to do window shopping on a Rolex AD. I''m sort of safe with my two Tudors but a cyclops on the crystal or any similarity to a Sub if far from being a good idea here. Cheers, Nilo
.. as we had a long weekend, with a holiday today, couldn't find out; - And I am still reflecting a bit, whether to get a/ the Vintage GMT first .. Or b/ if Batman (aka Bruiser) is going to prevail Honestly, currently the chips are more to the latter ( we...
.. Well, we'll see and know soon, probably; - maybe with some Borat- technique ( ) pictures (?) Best, ;) hs PS: I'm collecting pill after pill - pls let Dr Mamadu know
.. although, on a humble personal note I really stand by my decisions for getting the two TT-DSAs, which have delivered much pleasure to me.. - One thing is for sure: you now have a modern, 2-barrel mvmt - Chrono, a turning bezel ( I think -?) and three s...
Always like people who make their own choises. Although I like the TTDSA, I kind of understand your remark about the "faux" look. I Aleays would try to go for the original in that case. Nice watch you have! Best regards, Dirk
I'm loving this chronograph. Of course I already put another strap. The original one is nice but I'm afraid that was not conceived thinking on our weather here (peak of the summer, 34C/93.2F, humidity to the roof). Cheers, Nilo
I am very happy for you, my friend! Congratulation! :) If JLC had released this one as a "modern" chrono, I would have loved it! But, they put the name Deep Sea on it and in my book, this is NOT a Deep Sea... Sorry. Best Blomman
Blomman, I agree about the "Deep Sea" but it's written on the back. I got this one because of the overall style and movement. If the DSA had white lume, I could get it. Cheers, Nilo
I like this watch too. Somehow, I am not into vintage (yet) and prefer modern watches. This Deep Sea Chrono looks great on you! Wise choice indeed cheers robin
JLC requires at least the same level of detail that I did with the IWC Portuguese Classic. Then I plan to do a shoot out between those two outstanding chronographs. Cheers, Nilo
