About your question, even if platinum is not LE, the production will, so my guess is that we'll not often see platinum Duo Metre.
This is just my guess, not an official answer from JLC.
Why did JLC choose YG for the Duo Metre and MGTs watches???
Good question, and here again I don't have an official answer.
Don't think that it is because YG is deciling in popularity, because it would be very risky from JLC to do so
I have to precise that the MGT Minute Repeater is only, for the moent, at least, available in YG.
So, it would be a great risk to know that YG is not that popular and introduce a watch only in this metal.

Yep, Tim, not nice, indeed.
But the very first were delivered in September 2008, only. It's a complex movement, and JLC needed time to make it reliable. But I guess it won't make you happier to know it, as it is really a long time to wait, a TOO LONG time. Best, my friend. Nicolas

You're right of course....better to be delivered a bit late and to have been fully sorted by JLC first. I'm relatively philosophical about it...being used to the long Patek waiting times helps!! I'm sure I'll enjoy it when it arrives. Tim

Now all is ok, but it's not possible to make a lot of these movements in a short time, so it requires a long time, if you want to do it well.... Of course, I perfectly that the wait is a pain, but imagine your reaction when your AD will inform you that YO...

Yes, I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of a 68 Polaris, I'm told it should be anytime now! I will do my best to contribute in the future but compared to the knowledge existing on this forum, I am an amateur at best.
