The Atelier des Spécialités Horlogères is the Kingdom of Complications, a kind of wonderland for every watchnut. Spécialité Horlogère...There is an historical meaning behind this name: This was the name of the Company which was in charge to promote and se...
... to see the unfinished 'products' of these mechanical beauties. They remind me of an engine (but then miroscopicly) just before assembling it. The way the metals are finished etc .... . It would be a very nice experience to visit the manufacture indeed...
The whole processus is interesting, from the bars of metal to tha finished watch... That would be indeed very cool to organize a collective visit. To be followed... Best, my friend. Nicolas
Hi Nicolas, Great photos as always. Very nice to see these unfinished movements. Something different for a change. Must have been great to see your own watch in a unfinished version to see what is behind it all. Thanks, again! Rik
Do you remember a topic I posted in October when I was bakc form the Manufacture, about the work of all the people behind the curtain? There is a big part of them in our watches. This post is a kind of continuation of my former thread. Thanks for reading,...
what happened with the upper tourbillon bridge in Amvox 3 movement. It screwed not correctly as compared with real watch. The bridge curve looks to the nine mark instead of twelve )) Nice photos, by the way. Thanks a lot. Vitaly
Yes, that is where the treasures lie, in teh Atelier! I envy your visit there. This is where they assemble the Ultra Thins as well, no? So nice to see the dial sides of the movements for a change. I like the answer to the question "What is THE JLC movemen...
They all are a place of Creation. As fror the MUTs, I can't remember if they are assembled in this workshop, or at the Atelier des Terminaisons... I will ask to ask. Funnily, we never consider, with some very rare exceptions, the movement from its dial si...
It’s great to see the “raw” beauty of these marvels. I hope to have a chance to go there soon… The sun feather is really stunning – I suggested they should do key chains with that one… Hope they listened... :: )) Thank you for sharing this with us here! B...
My first post was on line on October 2009. I want here to thank, once again, the Manufacture for their warm and friendly welcome during my too short trip, there. There are so many things to see, learn, watch, listen to that I would need at least 5 other t...
Is also an unforgettable experience. Can you imagine it? You can ask them all the questions you want, you have an immediate answer! Thanks for your comments, Goh. Best, Nicolas

It's a privilege for you indeed. Speaking of atelier, I have a dream to one day visit Le Sentier and Bienne. Don't know if I ever will be able to save up to that. I have to be quite well to do in order to indulge in this little fantasy. Ruckdee
silencing the critics when it comes to movement finishing. I know that JLCs "upper crust" will probably elude my finances forever, but owning the same pedigree in my Reverso or Compressor Diver is cause enough to rejoice and feel just a little pride for o...
What I would love to know, is how did they do that? Is there a special adhesive involved, or is the sapphire made porous and a foamed metal welded into it, like they do with high-end titanium joints in bone through skin grafting? My only thought is the bo...
