One one hand, Corum was founded in 1955 and the golden bride watch was offered in 1980 from a design by Vincent Calabrese. BTW, a commemorative version was proposed in 2005 for the 50th anniversary of Corum's founding.
On the other hand, we can find in 1938 several ads which show that Jeager-LeCoultre was already using a vertical and straight aligned movement for its clocks at that time.
Some model of these clocks are really beautiful and can still be found in good shape without too much troubles as only few people have interest in them.
