That was a great review and fantastic photos - what an incredible timepiece!
I'm confused though, as I knew that the case on the current model was larger but I had thought that they had left the thickness unchanged thereby creating only a 'relatively' thinner case. (although it certainly is plenty thin enough)
Crown is smaller, or at least more flat, and that's an improvement as well.
So am I correct that the bezel on the older version is flat rather than sloped in addition to it being wider? I would think that a flat bezel would be more prone to scratches and as the bezel is so highly polished it would seem the sloped and thinner bezel is again a significant improvement.

The new RDMs have the current (and much more comfortable) double-fold deployants. The "old" 37mm RDMs used to have the less comfortable single-fold ones, and only the later ones (from about 2008 onwards perhaps?) have the double-fold ones.
