it was a good Christmas - and it'll be my pleasure to show how I finally joined the JLC club.
these past few days I have had to deal with some urgent stuff going on a couple of time zones away so the second hour hand has been in action - and I must say it does exactly what it is meant to do, there when you need it, so unobtrusive that you can read local time quickly without any distraction.

I like this photo because the shadow over the dial makes the elegant 'Chinese' numerals stand out, it captures the spirit of the watch perfectly....

That there is a lot of German language text on that dial. I know Wempe is German, but it strikes me as odd for a JLC. The design is very attractive though. Regards, JiaXian

until it was almost too late was the abundance of text around the seconds dial ... I could have done without the 100 years - just the reference to Chronometrie Wempe would have been better. I bought the watch because I felt the text would be too small to ...
