I like this photo because the shadow over the dial makes the elegant 'Chinese' numerals stand out, it captures the spirit of the watch perfectly.

That there is a lot of German language text on that dial. I know Wempe is German, but it strikes me as odd for a JLC. The design is very attractive though. Regards, JiaXian

until it was almost too late was the abundance of text around the seconds dial ... I could have done without the 100 years - just the reference to Chronometrie Wempe would have been better. I bought the watch because I felt the text would be too small to ...
