Jaeger-LeCoultre

Thanks Amanico and the Jaeger team

I have been away from my computer for a while, so here is at last some feedback on the event:

- great organisation: no corners were cut as everyone had his/her own bench and own movement to work on
- Andre (our teacher), with 47 years of service at Jaeger was extremely knowledgeable and was not biased towards modern pieces as he could happily talk about other brands and older models. He was extremely funny and his Swiss humour drew laughs from the class every 2-3 minutes. He continually compared the forces at work in the movement to ordinary things in life (a sandwich, a mother pushing his son on a swing etc. ), which made things easier to remember
- always nice to meet fellow purists and have a nice lunch with them
- the Jaeger team was not too eager to push the new pieces, which shows that this event was really for purists and not just a commercial thing
- modern technology was handy as we could practice their virtual watchmaking game on our computer before taking the actual movements apart
- a big thanks to everyone responsible to put this together: it was a memorable day

Next step: finding that perfect memovox... and leave its servicing to a good watchmaker
