that we can admire in this forum are certainly great to look at, but for everyday use, less is sometimes more. Sure I would love to own a perpetual calendar in platinum, but honestly, size, legibility, reliability and not least the cost factor make the difference between a pure collector's dream safe queen and a watch that can be enjoyed on a more daily basis.

I like that, but think it looks equally as well on black, makes
it a touch dressier in my opinion.

that I just can't imagine on a nato, sailcloth, rubber strap or anything really casual. It's simply not a strap monster and cannot be dressed down. So my semi-formal look will have to pass the test of time ... š¤š§

I like your choice very much.
I think that brown straps, in all their color permutations, can make an obviously dress watch much more casual in appearance. This will become much more important when you reach retirement age. When all watches need to be casual!
