Such a beautiful WT. Two questions though...
I've read quite extensively about the movement, that it is derived from the autotractor series, the incredible true second mechanism and that the idea behind including the function in the Geophysic line was to demonstrate JLC's efforts for increased accuracy.
Do you happen to know if all the Geophysic models are regulated to the more strict standards of -1 - +4 seconds as it was for the Geophysic 1958 limited series?
Is it - despite the sapphire case back amagnetic like the Geophysic 1958 (which used a soft iron inner cage to shield it from magnetism)?

Not meaning to pry, but the globe strikes me as something that might have surfaced in New England. (I spent 35+ summers in NH, and spent a decent amount of time in
book barnes and antique shops on the Maine coast.) The object just screams "Melville!" at me, so I'm curious. No harm if you'd rather not say. Congratulations, again. That globe is far more rare than the watch!

I’m unclear about the ultimate origins of this globe, though I do know that it surfaced in an antique store on the eastern shore of Maryland, where my mother purchased it over 50 years ago. It has now been passed down to me, and I treasure it. 😊
