Caseback (and therefore the gong attached to it) is reversed (rotated 180°).
Is this your watch on both photos? (I'd guess before and after service). If so, do you notice a difference of alarm sound?

Does the gong rotate?
And strike the metal mounted on the crystal? I have never seen one of these in action.
The gong does not rotate
if I am not mistaken, it is the hammer (small boomerang shaped piece) that moves
