( Red ) was founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to engage business and people in the fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
For this occasion, Sotheby's will auction two interesting pièces, made by JLC: - A Tribute To Deep Sea Alarm European with a Red alarm disc, limited to 3 pieces.
The Number one will be auctionned, while the two others are not available anymore, as they belong to Jonathan Irve and Mark Newson. So no rush, here, as the only way ot get this " Red " TT DSA is to place the winning bid.
An Atmos 561 " Mark Newson ", customized by designers Jonhatan Irve and Mark Newson, with some red accents ( hands, month indication and calibre logo ). This is a piece unique.
Before I post the press file, I would love to discuss those two pieces with you, especially the Tribute To Deep Sea Alarm " Red ".
First, the Atmos 561, customized:
I quite like these red accents, to say all. It dynamizes this transparent clock, it adds life, not bad.
Now, the Tribute To Deep Sea Alarm Red.
Are you ready?
Here we go:
You got it: The " only " detail which changes from the " normal " TT DSA European is the alarm disc, which is painted in red.
I put " " to only because this detail deeply changes the look of the Watch.
The Purists in us will scream. WHAT??? A Red Alarm disc on a holy Watch such as the Tribute To Deep Sea Alarm???
Yes, I can hear and understand you. It was my first, immediate and quick reaction, too. Yes... BUT... How cool is that, aesthetically speaking!
Somehow, it makes me think, in the spirit, of course, about a Rolex Daytona Paul Newman, an example of coolness.
What do you think?
For your complete information, the case back will receive a special engraving, well, nothing much dfferent than the one we know, but with the ( Red ) mention and the number of pièces made in this limited edition.
A last precision: These three watches have added to the 959 pièces of the TT DSA European limited edition.
